Our next business meeting will be held at 7 PM on Monday, August 9th, in room MEC 307 on the Boise State University campus, with the following agenda:

  • Planning for annual picnic in September
  • Audit (included in Treasurer’s report)
  • Next newsletter
  • Election process for 2011 Opcomm officer positions
    • The four positions that require an election are Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.  It’s time to form a nominations committee so we can have the ballot finalized in October, election in November, and next year’s officers announced in December.
  • Speaker search for next year’s EWeek Banquet
  • Update on PE/IA Chapter

Join us for an insightful evening about Test Driven Development (TDD), on Thursday, May 20th, at 6:30 PM at Microsoft’s downtown Boise office, located at 401 W Front St, Suite 400 (4thfloor).  The Boise .Net User Group and the IEEE Boise Computer Society have joined together to host a panel discussion on the real world experiences with TDD.  On Thursday evening, experts from leading companies in the Treasure Valley will share their experience with TDD.  You will hear about the techniques and tools that worked or didn’t work!  You’ll also hear about its impact on the development and resultant quality of software. Whether you are experienced with TDD, considering it, or just curious, this will be an event for you.  Mark your calendar for Thursday, May 20th at 6:30 PM for a great evening about TDD.
