I am a member of the Power Engineering Society and would like to see a balance of subjects that also include power.
I don’t have a clue when the IEEE Boise Section meets or about it’s website and I’ve been in Boise for 9 years! Where do I get this information?
In your next election, please include a short bio for the candidates since they are not all known to the IEEE Boise community.

I never used any of these resources when I was looking for employment, however I did look at them. I believe they could be useful.

Hi Everyone,
I could use what I think should be easy help from you to prepare for the career workshop. This should take just a few minutes of your time.
IEEE.org has career and employment resources. I’d like to know which ones you use. Could you spend a couple of minutes to write a short summary of what you use and optionally how helpful. This would include IEEE links, mailing lists, books, magazines, newsletters etc. Please complete before July 18.
A short list would look something like.
IEEE CAREER ALERT — keeps me in informed.
Tech Alert — keeps me informed of trends.
Thanks for your help.

For those familiar with LinkedIn, there is an official IEEE group, “The Official IEEE Group”. To join, one must be an active IEEE member. Approval is immediate if one has an ieee.org e-mail alias.
